About

Lucille Saponare, pictured below with her grandson Michael, did something most people wish they could do by creating a business focused around her passion: childcare.

She was destined to be a mother, and had her first child, Joseph Francis (43), at the age of 24. Soon to follow were Nicole Deanne (41) and Gina Marie (39). Melanie Anne (34) wasn't too far behind her siblings and came in 1988 after Lucille had been in business for two years.

Lucille is happily married for 43 years to her husband, a Westport native (or "townie" as they are often referred to as) Joe Saponare, who works for the Westport Police Department. He frequently makes appearances at the daycare, where he is known as "Big Joe," and is always greeted by the children with smiles and hugs.

Not only does Lucille have over 40 years of experience caring for children, but she also earned her CDA credential, and is CPR certified.
